#SPICares - Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas

This Veterans Day 2021, SPI Advisory decided as a company to give back to the men and women who have so bravely served our country in the military by donating to the Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas (“HVSD”).

HVSD is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization making a direct impact on the lives of some of the most vulnerable veterans in our direct community. HVSD partners with the VA Hospital and Healthcare System of North Texas and manages the Veterans Resource Center of Dallas to provide homeless DFW veterans with the guidance, assistance, and care they need to become self-sufficient again.

HVSD provides job training, peer support, and assistance in navigating the benefits available to Veterans as well as meeting their immediate needs by providing access to showers, laundry, computers, and food.

SPI pledged an initial $10,000 and up to $10,000 match to donate to HVSD. SPI was able to fundraise $12,490 by November 11, 2021, making their total contribution $32,490.

Given HVSD’s annual operating costs lie around $120,000, this amount makes a HUGE difference in making sure the HVSD is able to keep its doors open and continue to improve the lives of DFW Veterans struggling with homelessness.
